When i was a kid, an author came and spoke to my class. He wrote a book of poetry about chocolate. lol.
I fell in love. Here's one of my favorite poems..
"In My Horror Fantasy Chiller:"
I have to fight fierce dragons;
swim through a lake of fire in
my underwear; bite off the ears
of Cujodogs, and send them yelping
back to Stephen King; hitch a ride
with extraterrestrials -wearing ski
masks in July; and run faster than rolling
boulders, Rolling Stones, and the hands of time.
When I arrive, I find that all the sweet milk
chocolate-coated cherries have been devoured by
my little brother. He has been sent by the devil
from the nether regions of Hell (where no
chocolate could remain even a little unmelted)
to deprive me of my natural rights, and to drive
me into a life of crime.
After my tears dry, I go out and mug Willy
Wonka
for a bag of chocolate lollypops
(on those nice safe cardboard sticks). It
is
only a matter of time before I am caught,
tried, c o n v i c t e d, and sent to the
dentist
for five-to-ten(cav i ties).

That's King Louie!!! His hatch date was May 11th of this year, which makes him alittle over 4 months. So he'll still get a wee bit bigger. So far i'm having a blast with him. He has a huge cage that opens up at the top with this little perch, and i made him a toy that he really likes.
I'm just so excited, I've always wanted a bird. More specifically a bird that could mimic, talk, etc..
Finn doesnt mind him at all. Shows absolutely no interest. When Louie get's loud, finn leaves the room.
Java is interested, alittle more than i'd like. I knew she would be, i mean, she chases birds in the yard. She hasn't tried to really get at him, or anything. SHe's just really interested when im messing with his cage. It's in my room, and we all sleep pleasently together. He's overall pretty quiet. He only screetches when he needs something, or wants attention. I think Java is more jealous than anything.

| I got a new pet... |

I got a green-cheeked conure. For those that know me, i've been wanting a bird (an intelligent bird) for years. He's a rescue i got from an older lady, so he knows to "dance" (where he bobs up and down) and he knows how to say "snack, snack" and loves to sit on my monitor, and climb on my desk while i'm on the computer. Suprisingly he's only a year old. I'm already soooooo excited.
I'll post pictures later tonight. For now, here's some info, he looks alittle different..

I just have a question. Where were you when you heard about what had happened? What is your first memory of the attack on the twin towers? What was your first thought?
I remember it SO clearly. I was skipping class. Somehow my dad always knew when i wasn't there, it was his uncanny ability. I'd gone to my moms house, and i was taking a nap. My dad called, and he said
"Amanda, honey, terrorists have attacked the twin towers in New York."
Of course in my sleepy state i was like "wah? terrorists?"
and he told me to turn on the tv. At this point the first tower was the only one hit. Moments after I turned on the tv i saw the second plane hit the second tower. My stomach dropped. I think I'll remember that feeling for the rest of my life.
I cried for hours, I felt so selfish, so guilty. For years i'd wish i would die, that i could find the courage to take my own life. Here were these people that wanted to live, and they were dying. I started therapy two days later.
I probably owe those victims my life. I'll never forget seeing people jumping, the sound of bodies hitting the ground.
When i was a child, terrorism wasn't a word i knew. I didn't have to worry about that stuff. My children will. I'll have to someday explain to my children that some people are just so sick, they don't care who they hurt, as long as they carry out thier mission. |

So i applied for a student credit card today.
My grandmother (who has excellent credit) was
my co-signer....
I won't find out if i was approved until tomorrow.
Which means i won't know if i can go to school until tomorrow.
To make matters worse, i deposited a check for 120 dollars yesterday at 6pm, they said it would be available by 3pm today. Today at 7pm, i made a transaction at the columbus museum of art. NOW my bank (online) says im -5.47 dollars. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE.
I swear if this bank fuck up and i don't get that credit card, and i can't go to classes. I'll strangle everyone in that damn bank.
Dear U.S. Bank, YOU SUCK!!!!
On the plus side, guess who has the same celebrity boobs as me.... (but mine are definately NOT that perky.)

Here's the senario.
Woman comes through drive through and buys 2 happy meals.
Woman complains that there were no toys in boxes.
I hand her two toys.
Other employee (male asshole) behind me starts throwing a fit that i'm handing out free toys.
WTF.
So he calls up both the managers to deal with it.
They come up, start asking me if i gave away free toys.
I deny it, Male asshole employee keeps throwing a fit.
I explain my side of the story,
he explains his *bullshit* story.
They tell me i can either
A.) pay for the toys
or
B.) get written up for theft.
By this point im pissed.
So i pay for the toys. Which was 4 dollars.
Then they tell me to go ahead and clock out.
An hour later i see someone i work with at gas station, he tells me that he heard the manager say i'm getting fired. WTF!!!!
It's not a huge deal, i can find another job. I have an interview at children's world on Tuesday (which im sure i'll get) and i start classes soon. It's not like mcdonalds is my life's calling or anything. I'm just pissed that i got fired for something i didn't do.

SOOOO.
I had three days off work, i spent one sleeping (literally. I took my seroquel and it KNOCKED ME OUT. I slept for almost 24 hours, it was nuts)
I spent the second day shopping and stuff.
I got a library card, got some books..
"breathing and it's benefits"
"meditation for dummies"
"dog training for dummies" (which has been insanely helpful
"anxiety, phobias, and what your doctor may not tell you"
and
"natures natural cures"
Then i planted some plants. Nice green viney things, lets hope my black thumb doesn't kill them.
I bought a little frog, put him in my old fishtank, saw him eat a cricket. It made me happy.
Got a pin number for my debit card so i can use it, so i have been. I also have online banking. HOW COOL.
I deep cleaned my room, it TOTALLY needed it. I mean, i was living "sloth" i bought some runners/rugs to cover my nasty carpet, it looks better. Cleaned my computer desk, IT looks better.
Went thrifting/garage saling with my sister, got this retro dinner tv tray that i'm using as a table. Bought two very cool looking retro lamps. (my sister bought matching lamps)
um. OH YEAH
I GOT MY TATOO'S
I cant get pictures of them right now, maybe later tonight, but one wrist has a little pair of scissors and a dotted line, and the other wrist has stiches.
You know. To show how I used to feel, and how i feel now (healed)
I bought a planner, im actually using it. I think that's it.
Oh, no it's not.
I signed up for classes at CSCC for autumn quarter. A math course, and a psycology course. MY aim is early childhood ed. :P
I think that's it.

I made it all by myself. I know it's not as great as anything misty could make, and i'm still really limited in what i can do, but i'm getting better.

Okay, go look at my kick ass layout, blah blah blah.
Then go back to whatever you were doing before.
